When did you know your partner was “the one” and you wanted to get married?

It all felt so natural from the beginning for both of us. There wasn't one specific moment but just a natural progression towards marriage.

What is one of your favorite things about your partner?

Timothy: How loving and supportive she is. 

Tara: Difficult to pick one thing. I love everything about him. I think my favorite thing is his ability to laugh at most situations and find the positive.

What was your proposal like (was the ring a surprise or was it collaborative)?

The ring was a beautiful surprise. Tara had a couple things she wanted but most of it was Tim's input. It was on a nice crisp morning after spending a night camping near Lake George CO. Just the two of us, no cameras, no other people. It was perfect.

Tell us about your wedding (if it has happened yet).

It's going to be at the beautiful Tapestry House in LaPorte CO with family and close friends on Nov 22nd.

Why did you decide to work with Balefire?

Tim heard great things about them and the customization options. After he looked at them online he knew it was the place to get a special ring for the special person in his life.

What advice would you give to other couples shopping for wedding or engagement rings?

Tim: For the men, make it special for her. It should be something that matches her and the relationship as a whole. 

Tara: For the women, let your man contribute to the design. Yes you're the one wearing it, but when you look at it, you should think of him and what better way than to have him be a part of it. I think it's so special that Tim contributed his ideas to the design. The uniqueness of a custom ring should be capitalized and knowing that his ideas were incorporated reminds me of how much he loves me every time I look at it.

Anything else you want to share?

I love my ring so much! It's absolutely gorgeous and so so special. No one has one like it and I think of Tim and how much we love each other every time I look at it.
